Correan Hufstedler

SIKESTON - Correan Dockery Hufstedler, 85, died at 12:05 a.m. July 26, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 23, 1916, in Conran, daughter of the late George Ebbin and Myrtle C. Thompson Dockery, she was a member of the Sikeston Community Church. She owned and operated the C&H Service Station in Sikeston and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society office in Sikeston for 17 years.

She was first married to Arthur Lee Johnson.

On March 22, 1940, in Hernando, Miss., she married S.D. "Dude" Hufstedler who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1987.

Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Lee Johnson of Thornton, Colo., and Billy J. Johnson of Glenn Heights, Texas; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Two sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. Monday until service time at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dolan Rogers, pastor of the Sikeston Community Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
