Dannie Davis
KNOXVILLE, Ark. - Dannie Lee Davis, 55, died July 20, 2002, at the Johnson Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
Born in Sikeston, Mo., son of the late George Cecil and Ocie Marie Holt Davis, he graduated from Sikeston High School and was a member of Knoxville Masonic Lodge 370, the London Masonic Lodge and Knoxville First Baptist Church. He served with the U.S. Air Force 377 SPS Unit during the Vietnam War and was employed by the LTV Aero Space in Grand Prairie, Texas, for 27 years before retiring.
His wife, Jean Davis, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Cheryl Mize of Knoxville; one son, Dannie Davis Jr. of Crestview, Fla.; two sisters, Jackie Powell of Charleston, Mo., and Betty King of Willits, Calif.; two brothers, Ralph Davis and Bill Davis of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.
Services were conducted Wednesday at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Snyder officiating.
Masonic graveside rites were conducted at the Knoxville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: John Tyson, Jodie Storms, Carl Collins, Glen Rainey, Billy Bush, Kenneth Cash, Glen Hickey and Doc Ramsey.
Hardwicke Funeral Home of Knoxville was in charge of arrangements.
