Joe Broyles
NEW MADRID - Joseph Martin Broyles, 59, died at 10:03 a.m. July 25, 2002, at his home.
Born Jan. 25, 1943, in Marston, son of Bronie Broyles and the late Louis Raymond Broyles, he attended the Lilbourn General Baptist Church and was a member of the singing group "The Foundations" for many years.
On Sept. 9, 1962, he married Patricia Ann Broyles who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald Joe Broyles of New Madrid and Darrell Wayne Broyles of Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, Jimmy Broyles of Ripley, Miss., and Johnny Broyles of Benton; four sisters, Mary Eckler of Three Oaks, Mich., Bonnie Lane of Bristol, Tenn., Bernice Long of Grandin and JoAnn Caldwell of Potosi; and one granddaughter, Sara Claire Broyles of New Madrid.
He was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Allen Broyles on March 3, 1964; one brother, Denvil Broyles; and two sisters, Opal Lorene Broyles and Martha Broyles.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Travis Lambert, pastor of the Lilbourn General Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
