Robert DeRousse
HAYWARD - Robert H. DeRousse, 77, died July 25, 2002, at his home.
Born Oct. 10, 1925, in Barnes Ridge, son of the late Adolph and Mary Moon DeRousse, he was a member and former deacon at the First Baptist Church and served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
On May 2, 1948, in Portageville, he married Geneva Champion who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Harold Miller, Patsy and Ronnie Hinklin and Lisa and John Kelley of Hayward; two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Della DeRousse of Portageville and Terry and Trish DeRousse of Hayward; one brother, Lloyd DeRousse of Portageville; one sister, Roberta Nowell of Mount Olive, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Jackie Studie and the Rev. Mark Inman will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
