Opal Summers

BLOOMFIELD - Opal Faye Summers, 65, died Oct. 29, 2003, at her home.

Born Dec. 2, 1937, at Pacola, she was the daughter of the late Robert Luke and Iva Jackson Thompson.

On Jan. 24, 1977, at Dexter, she married Coye Summers who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2000.

Other survivors include: one son, Daniel Summers of Bloomfield; two stepsons, Gary Summers and David Summers of Dexter; one brother, Craig Thompson of St. Peters; and one half brother, Otha Smith of Arizona.

Also preceding her in death were two half brothers, Willie Smith and Ernest Smith; and one half sister, Jeanette Scholley.

The body was cremated and memorial graveside services will be conducted at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
