Sarah Chesmore

SIKESTON - Sarah E. Chesmore, 61, died at 4:40 a.m. Dec. 7, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 29, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late John and Helen Davis Britt, she had been a food service worker for Sikeston Public Schools and attended Beulah Land Fellowship Church in Sikeston.

On Dec. 27, 1957, in Sikeston, she married Charles W. Chesmore who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Chuck Chesmore of Sikeston; three brothers, David Britt of Sikeston, Gene Britt of LaCenter, Ky., and Vernon Britt of Canalou; two sisters, Jo Ann Summers and Jeanette Dowdy of Sikeston; and one grandchild.

One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Visitation is from noon today until service time at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. James Russell of Sikeston will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Harold Britt, Jimmy Dowdy, Chris Leonard, Chris Berry, David Leonard, Bobby Young and Randy Davidson.
