CHARLESTON -- Amy Jo Maggart and Kerry Lee Klund exchanged wedding vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony May 18, 2002, at St. Henry Catholic Church before the Rev. David Schmidt and the Rev. Henry Schmidt.
The bride is the daughter of James and Janet Maggart of Ava, Ill., and her husband is the son of Michael and Sandy Stanley of Sikeston and Bill and Connie Klund of Jefferson City.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a matte satin sleeveless gown, created by Ginza and designed with an open neckline. The creation was accented with pearl beads and alencon lace and the full skirt was complemented with an extra long cathedral train.
Music was provided by Shelly Monier, Lori Statler and Terry Parker.
Maid of honor was Rachel Maggart of East Prairie and serving as bridesmaids were Jenny Maggart of Murray, Ky., Christy Thomas of St. Louis and Kersten Abner of Sikeston. Carlie Maggart of Mount Sterling, Ill., and Katelyn Dunlap of Carrollton, Ill., were flower girls.
John White of Sikeston was best man and groomsmen were Wilson Ross Jr. of Sikeston, Jason Hicks of Cape Girardeau and Mark Calbert of Sikeston. Graison Colbert of Sikeston was ring bearer.
Serving as ushers were John Marret of Sikeston, Phil Schmidt of Carrollton and Eric White of Sikeston. Candlelighters were Michelle Baker of East Prairie and Jana Wilson of Sikeston.
The wedding reception was held at the Sikeston Elks Lodge.
Following a trip to Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Cape Girardeau.
