CAPE GIRARDEAU - Francis E. "Bud" Street, 92, formerly of Sikeston, died at 4:30 a.m. Sept. 2, 2007, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 11, 1915, in Commerce, to the late John Edward and Emma Isabel Reagan Street, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 310 and Kingsway Chapter No. 144. He was a salesman for Malone and Hyde, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston for more than 50 years and was presently a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
On March 1, 1942, in Hernando, Miss., he married Margery C. Woodside, who preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 2004.
He was also preceded in death by: one daughter, Diane Cantrell; and four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: one son, Francis E. Street Jr. of St. Louis; one daughter, Claire Campbell of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today, with Masonic rites at 6:30 p.m., at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Dempster Memorial Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Geoff Posegate, pastor, will officiate.
Burial with full military honors by Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
