CHARLESTON - Nellie Rose Passley, 81, died at 1:34 a.m. June 13, 2002, at her home.

Born Dec. 14, 1920, in Anna, Ill., daughter of the late Dave and Mary Speck Murr, she lived in Charleston most of her life, where she was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

On Sept. 4, 1936, she married Sam "Dago" Passley who preceded her in death on March 14, 1968.

Survivors include: one son, Willis M. Passley of Charleston; three daughters, Beverly Watson of Newcastle, Okla., Ann Frayers of Huntington, Tenn., and Mae Bowles of Charleston; and 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Marie Stubblefield.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Lawrence Heckert, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Charleston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
