Janice Dial

PORTAGEVILLE - Janice C. Montgomery Dial, 77, died May 3, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 12, 1924, in Wardell, daughter of the late John and Beulah Tanner Montgomery, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had been a bookkeeper for Lafonts, Noranda, Hayes Ford Sales in Portageville and for the Western Auto Store in Portageville before retiring.

On Dec. 27, 1943, in Bokerton, she married Richard P. Dial who preceded her in death on May 20, 1998.

Survivors include: two sons, Taylor Dial of Cape Girardeau and John Douglas Dial of Boca Raton, Fla.; one daughter, Janice Brown of Olive Branch, Miss.; three brothers, Andy Montgomery and Mike Montgomery of Millersville and Warren Montgomery of Howell, Mich.; two sisters, Lela Aldrich of Tucson, Ariz., and Beth McDonald of Anthems, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville with the Rev. Mark Inman officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.
