Christopher Lee Sanders
MOREHOUSE - Christopher "Chris" Lee Sanders, 22, died at 8:12 p.m. May 3, 2002, at his home.
Born Sept. 13, 1979, in Charleston, son of Donald Sanders of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Victoria Ogden Stroud of Morehouse, he was a cashier for the Aldi Grocery Store in Sikeston. A 1998 graduate of Bloomfield High School, he attended the Miner Baptist Church.
On June 23, 2001, in Lilbourn, he married Shelley Atchley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: his stepmother, Joy Sanders of Dyersburg; his stepfather, Chester Stroud of Morehouse; two brothers, Steven Sanders of Morehouse and Kyle Sanders of Dyersburg; one sister, Melissa Sanders of Sikeston; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Linda Sanders of Bloomfield; his maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Robert and Wanda Ogden of Morley; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Ogden of Sikeston; his stepgrandmother, Charlene Ford of Bloomfield; and stepgrandparents, Ernie and Dorothy Stroud of Wappapello.
Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of the Miner Baptist Church, and the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiated.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ogden, Darrin Ogden, Pete Evans, Allen Evans, Andy Perry and Blake West.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Joseph Cossey, David Gaines, Randy Gaines, Geary Yant, Kevin Armstrong and Tim Massey.
