Myra Propst

SIKESTON - Myra Propst, 84, died May 11, 2002, at Missouri Delta medical Center.

Born Oct. 14, 1917, at Morley, daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Bynum Minner, she was co-owner of Propst Mobile Home Sales and a member of the First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star.

On Sept. 21, 1933, she married Lanus Propst who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one daughter, Lisa Ruth Propst.

Survivors include: one son, Robert Propst of Sikeston; one daughter, Myra Myers of Sikeston; one sister, Valree Alsobrook of New Madrid; four grandchildren, Randy Myers and Michael Propst of Sikeston, Pam Arnold of Cape Girardeau and Brian Propst of Houston, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home where Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Alan Shriver, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Old Morley Cemetery.
