Marcus Weaver

PORTAGEVILLE - Marcus Lafate Weaver, 80, died May 8, 2002, at the Piggott (Ark.) Community Hospital.

Born Aug. 10, 1921, in Tyler, he was the son of the late James Henry and Nannie Crouse Weaver.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Brodie Weaver and James Weaver; and four sisters, Virgie Goodman, Ethel Willis, Martha Weaver and Margie Sanders.

Survivors include: two nephews, David Goodman of Fowlerville, Mich., and Jack Goodman of Blytheville, Ark.; and one niece, Jewel Warfield of Lancaster, Calif.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home with Ralph Dixon Jr. officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Ralph Dixon Jr., Caleb Dixon, Jack Goodman and Tommy Huelett.
