DEXTER - John Wilson McKinley, 86, died March 16, 2005, a the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 16, 1918, at Advance to the late Henry and Ada Chambers McKinley, he was a member of the First Church of God in Dexter. A former employee of the Brown Sand and Gravel at Dexter, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Eva McKinley of the home in Dexter; one daughter, Tracy Harty of St. Louis; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Ray and Carol Clark of Warrenton and Gary and Lora Clark of Qulin; two sisters, Fay Looney of Yellville, Ark., and Jessie Cato of Zalma; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred; four brothers, Charlie, Tom, Doyle and Carl McKinley; and two sisters, Mildred Willis and Bess McFarrin.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until time for services at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Following cremation, internment will be conducted at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
