PARKER, Colo. - Robert Dale "Bob" Urban, 53, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 8:40 a.m. Nov. 17, 2002, at the Aurora Care Center in Aurora, Colo., following an extended illness.

Born Nov. 1, 1949, in Sikeston, son of the late Dr. E.D. and Jane Grugett Urban, he was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston. He attended the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Mo. A 1967 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School, he graduated in 1973 from Memphis State University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting.

Urban moved to Colorado and had worked as a personal accountant for private citizens. He was also a bookkeeper and accountant for an oil petroleum company in Denver. After receiving his real estate broker's license, Urban was a broker associate for the Keller Williams Realty Company in Denver.

He was previously married to Margaret A. Urban-Phillips of Aurora, the mother of his children.

Other survivors include one son, Trevor Dale Urban of Aurora; one daughter, Shera Lee Hildenbrand of Aurora; one brother, David L. Urban of Columbia, Mo.; his aunt and uncle, Jean and Joe McCord of Sikeston; his cousins, Janie and Will Kaiser, Paige Kaiser and Quinn Kaiser of Sikeston; and a special friend, Barbara Lupton of Toronto, Canada.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Allen Shriver, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. He will be assisted by Mary McCord.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: John Carr, Fred Matthews, Marvin Gilmore, David Whitaker, David Boyer and Steve Hunter.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Cline Ables, P.J. Ponder, Jack Yount and Bill Sharp.
