SIKESTON - Myrtle Mae Stacy, 85, died at 7:20 a.m. Feb. 26, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Jan. 28, 1917, in Sikeston, son of the late James William and Martha Ann Hodges Burns, she had been a member of Tanner Street Church of God and the Gleaner's Sunday school class. She had been a cook for Scott County Central High School and Southwest Elementary School in Sikeston.

On Aug. 28, 1937, in Charleston, she married Ward L. Stacy who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1981.

Survivors include: four daughters, Ruth Ann Clabaugh and Phyllis Williams of Sikeston, Carolyn Lee of Edmond, Okla., and Tammy Stacy of Savannah, Ga.; four sisters, Ruby McCoy, Ruth Phillips, Pearl Tadlock and Bertie Cullins of Sikeston; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Three brothers also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Carl Addison and the Rev. Larry Smith, of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ben Jeffries, Scott Graham, Mark Williams, Joey Williams, Kevin Williams and Dale Duncan.
