Steven Veal

SCOTT CITY - Robert Steven Veal, 41, died at 4:40 p.m. Nov. 9, 2001, in Scott City, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle/train accident.

Born Nov. 29, 1959, in Peoria, Ill., son of Joseph Marcus Veal of Vernon, Ill., and Angela Fay Wedding Veal of East Peoria, Ill., he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a grader for Botkins Lumber.

Survivors in addition to his parents include: his fiancee, Connie Cox of Scott City; two brothers, Dewey Veal of Cape Girardeau and Dale Veal of East Peoria; and one sister, Rita Veal of East Peoria.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

No visitation or services are scheduled.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
