CAPE GIRARDEAU - Carla Jo "Jody" Knaup, 74, died Oct. 22, 2006, at her home.
Born Aug. 10, 1932, in Charleston, the daughter of William Carl and Lucy Pauline Farmer Whitehead, she and her husband were owner/operator of Knaup Floral from 1976 until 1999.
On June 10, 1952, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, she married Richard Joseph Knaup who preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2004.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law Richard Joseph and Charlotte Knaup Jr. of Jackson, James William and Debra Knaup of Jefferson City and Thomas Bosco and Amy Knaup of Cape Girardeau; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Mary Lynn and Oscar Gardiner and Kathryn Jo and John Landewee of Cape Girardeau, Marla Gwen and Harold Kunz of Kirkwood, Karen Elizabeth and David Rife of Florissant and Lucy Claire Knaup of St. Louis; nine brothers; one sister, 15 grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Cathedral. Parish Prayers will be held at 7 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus Council 1111 rosary.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Cathedral with the Rev. Tom Kiefer, Monsignor Richard Rolwing and the Rev. Patrick Nwokoye officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
