CHARLESTON -- Mahala "Christine" McMillen, 77, died at 11:33 a.m. June 19, 2004, at her home in Charleston.

Born July 30, 1926, in Biggers, Ark., daughter of the late David Leroy and Nola Cordelia Belcher Hill, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life, where she attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Charleston.

On Dec. 13, 1941, she married Willie Gray McMillen who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2002.

Survivors include: three sons, Roy Thomas McMillen and Ronnie Ray McMillen of Parma and Willie Dale McMillen of Bertrand; six daughters, Mary Ann Pazdera, Nola Faye Passley, Charlene Sue Grisso, Sally Marie Garrett and Wilma Irene McMillen of Charleston and Barbara Jean Wilson of East Prairie; one sister, Sueffie Elizabeth Pemberton of Bertrand; and 26 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Edith Cordelia Owens and Elena Mae Pemberton; and one great-granddaugther preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until time for services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Scott Pazdera, Willis Passley Jr., Dennis Thurman, Kenny Garrett Jr., Larry Estes, David Wilson, Thomas McMillen, Matthew McMillen and Dustin McMillen.
