SIKESTON - Floyd Allan Davidson, 45, died at 8:24 p.m. June 17, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Born Jan. 30, 1959, in Sikeston, son of Shirley J. Davidson Miller of Sikeston and the late James A. Davidson, he was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 26 years. SIKESTON - Floyd Allan Davidson, 45, died at 8:24 p.m. June 17, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 30, 1959, in Sikeston, son of Shirley J. Davidson Miller of Sikeston and the late James A. Davidson, he was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 26 years. He was a member of Tanner Street Church of God, played on the church softball and basketball teams and was also a participant in the bowling league at the Sikeston Bowling Center.

He was in charge of the Sikeston Little League Basketball Program as well as serving as a referee for many years. In 2003, Davidson was recognized for 23 years of volunteer service to Little League Basketball and his name was installed on the Honors Board at the Recreation Complex. The Allan Davidson Coach of the Year Award was established this year by Tanner Street Church of God in recognition of his many years of service to the Sikeston Little League program.

On June 9, 1978, in Sikeston, he married Susan J. Johnson who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: one son, Chris Davidson of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and John Oliver of Murray, Ky.; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Toni Davidson of Marietta, Ga.; two stepbrothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Linda Miller Jr. and Charlie and Vickie Miller of Sikeston; his godfather, Keith Conrad; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Don Miller Sr. and his godmother, Kathryne Conrad.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Monday until service time at 1 p.m. at Tanner Street Church of God. The Rev. Carl Addison, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Launius, Jeff Limbaugh, Kenny Standridge, Tim Ward, Chris Porter and Jim Armstrong.

Ponder Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
