EAST PRAIRIE - Imo E. Cooper, 84, died at 6:35 p.m. Nov. 17, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 16, 1920, in Supply, Ark., daughter of the late James P. and Mary P. Hilliard Powell, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.

On Sept. 3, 1937, she married J.B. Cooper who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Mary Cooper of East Prairie; one brother, Jimmie Poor of Sikeston; four sisters, Flo Welch of House Springs, Ruby Poor of East Prairie, Letrice Ornoff of Jackson and Gayle Nelson of Riverview; and two grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, three great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Five brothers preceded her in death.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home with Mike Johnson officiating.

Burial followed in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Pallbearers were: Marty Hutcheson, Randy Oatsvall, Sam Oatsvall, Richard Oliphant, Jared Carden and Mark Poore.

Honorary pallbearers were: Anthony Branam, Allen Carter and Glen Hilliard.
