SIKESTON - William Pierce Arnold, 76, died at 11:50 a.m. June 20, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Born Oct. 27, 1927, in Steele, son of the late Rice and Reba Copeland Arnold, he graduated from Sikeston High School in 1945 and attended Southeast Missouri State University. SIKESTON - William Pierce Arnold, 76, died at 11:50 a.m. June 20, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Oct. 27, 1927, in Steele, son of the late Rice and Reba Copeland Arnold, he graduated from Sikeston High School in 1945 and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He worked as the general sales manager for the Union 76 Petroleum Company Truck Stop and served in the U.S. Army.

On Sept. 9, 1974, in Union City, Tenn., he married Imojean Branum who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Pam Arnold Garfield of Rybinsk, Russia; one stepdaughter, Paula Bertrand of Oran; three stepsons, James Johnson of Destrehan, La., Tim Johnson of Columbia, S.C., and Jon Johnson of Malden; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter and two brothers.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. David Wigger, pastor of the First General Baptist Church in Malden, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
