Lillie Lett
MINER - Lillie Edna Lett, 90, formerly of Bertrand, died at 6:10 a.m. Sept. 17, 2001, at Miner Nursing Center.
Born July 17, 1911, in Trenton, Tenn., daughter of the late John W. and Mildred Hearn Peace, she was a charter member of Bement Baptist Church and a current member of the Sikeston Community Church.
On Jan. 18, 1938, in Benton, she married Joe Lett who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1974.
Survivors include: two sons, Russell Lett of Little Rock, Ark., and Leonard Lett of Sikeston; one daughter Frances Scales of North Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Forrest Peace of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Dolan Rogers of the Sikeston Community Church will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jason Grubbs of Sikeston.
Burial will follow in the Armer Cemetery in Bertrand.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Grubbs, Dan Taylor, Jerry Boyd, Drew Edwards, Bernie Lacy and Howard Harper.
