Sylvia Bailey

EAST PRAIRIE - Sylvia Iretta Bailey, 79, died at 2:37 p.m. Sept. 17, 2001, at the Baptist Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.

Born July 9, 1922, in Charleston, daughter of the late Morris S. and Alpha O. Smoot Bailey, she lived in East Prairie most of her life, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother, James E. Bailey of Eastpointe, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Robert M. Bailey and Webster P. Bailey, preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie with R.L. Robinson officiating.
