PORTAGEVILLE - Mary Lee McGary Pointer, 78, died Sept. 17, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 7, 1922, in Point Pleasant to the late Margaret Hank and Jerry McGary, she was a member of the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Mildred Martin of Aberdeen, Md., and Randy and Barbara Williams and Dennis and Queenie Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Juanita and Sammie Gipson of Portageville, Alberta and Lewis King of Atlanta and Linda Williams of Conran; and 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Johnnie and Walter McGary, and two sisters, Ona Marsh and Jerry Ruth McGary.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Winters officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lily of the Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Gipson, Sammy Gipson, Marcus Mullins, Thomas Mead, Johnny Martin, Emmanuel Hayes and Travis Robinson.
