Larry Cornwell

EAST PRAIRIE - Larry Gene Cornwell, 61, died at 11:50 p.m. Sept. 12, 2001, at his home.

Born June 4, 1940, in East Prairie, son of Helen Jackson Cornwell of East Prairie and the late Raymond C. Cornwell, he was a truck driver and lifelong resident of Mississippi County.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: two daughters, Kim Cornwell Frye and Laura Cornwell Jackson of East Prairie; one brother, Shirley Cornwell of East Prairie; four sisters, Donna Munoz of Lakewood, Calif., Joan Burdell of Long Beach, Calif., Fern Easley of East Prairie and Fostine Fischer of Bell Flower, Calif.; one granddaughter, Judy Cornwell; two grandsons, Teddy and Larry; two great-grandchildren, Darian and Kameron; and one special niece, Joanie Johnson of East Prairie.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday with Martin Lucas officiating.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Shirley Bard, Shirley Wheatley, Lindell Morris, Billy Joe Chance, Chuck Jackson and George Ivie.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Larry Owens, Donnie Haney, Tommy Culp and Nick Thurman.
