Jessie Edmond Sr.

PARMA - Jessie Edmond Sr., 91, died Sept. 5, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 10, 1910, in Coffinville, Miss., son of the late Chester and Ella Williams Edmond, he was a farmer and member of Mount Calvary Church in Parma.

On Nov. 11, 1950, in Grenada County, Miss., he married Joella Rutledge who preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2001.

Survivors include: one son, Jessie Edmond Jr. of Diehlstadt; one sister, Lillie Logan of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Nolan Edmond; and two sisters, Pearlie Logan and Christine Logan.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at noon at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie. The Rev. Johnny Williams of Poplar Bluff will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.
