Paul Wethington
ENCINITAS, Calif. - Paul Melvin Wethington, 73, died Sept. 4, 2001, in San Diego.
Born Nov. 14, 1927, near Essex, Mo, son of the late Hudson Green and Bertha Condict Wethington, he served in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted man for nine years and as an officer for 15 years before retiring on June 30, 1971.
In 1954, he married Fredda June Case who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Paul Steven and Nancy Wethington of West Chester, Ohio; and three daughters, Natalie Marie Schwartz, Stephanie Renee Wethington and Madison Necole Wethington, of West Chester, Ohio.; five brothers, Fred Wethington and Donald of Bloomfield, Mo., Elzia Wethington of Dexter, Mo., M.B. Wethington of Sikeston, Mo., and David of Arlington, Texas; and one sister, Linda Curtis of Hillsboro, Ill.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Hudson Max Wethington, Glenn Clayton Wethington and Russell Ervin Wethington; two sisters, Leola Maxine Wethington and a twin sister, Pauline Mae Wethington Clanton; and one nephew, Glenn Clayton Wethington Jr.
A military service at the Stars and Stripes Cemetery in Bloomfield is being planned for a later date.
