BELL CITY - Flossie M. Gregory, 94, died Sept. 11, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 7, 1907, at Campbell, daughter of the late James and Martha Wright Fish, she was a cook at Bell City Schools for many years. She had also been a cook for restaurants, had been a midwife and child care provider and was of the Pentecostal belief. She had raised several children in the Bell City community.

On Feb. 10, 1926, at Bell City, she married Frank Gregory who preceded her in death on May 17, 1975.

Survivors include: one brother, Ike Fish of Lancaster, Calif.; three sisters, Esther Bell of Michigan, Junell Davis of Piggott, Ark., and Lorene Ramsey of Everett, Wash.; two stepbrothers, W.B. Lightfoot of Layetteville, Ark., and J.R. Lightfoot of Belleville, Ill; and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, one sister, one stepbrother and one stepsister also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. Gearldine Dell and Bertha Newell will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bell City Cemetery.
