SIKESTON - Lanny J. Laub, 47, died Sept. 8, 2001, at his home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of William H. and Iva Mae Bohannon Laub.

Mr. Laub was a graduate of Oran High School, the University of Missouri and Southeast Missouri State University. He received a bachelor of science in education, master of science in human relations and a master of arts in English literature. He taught writing for four years at Southeast Missouri State University and was assistant to the dean of the Graduate College of Business at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, Calif., for eight years.

Surviving are his father and mother of Benton; three sisters, Kimberly Laub of Sikeston, LaDonna Laub of Cape Girardeau and Janice Keith of Jackson; three nephews, Quinton Boardman and Mason Boardman of Sikeston and Kevin Keith of Jackson; and one niece, Heather Sparks of Cape Girardeau.

Private services were held Sept. 11 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. Glen Bohannon, Mr. Laub's uncle, officiated.

Burial followed in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
