Tressie Drew

CANALOU - Tressie Drew, 38, died Sept. 29, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Dec. 1, 1962, in Sacramento, Calif., daughter of Bernice Bohannon Barnes of Canalou and the late Paul Barnes Sr., she operated the Morehouse Cafe and was a member of the Big Ridge Baptist Church.

Her daughter, Courtney Drew, also died in the accident.

On June 18, 1983, she married Jeff Drew who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Bethany Drew of the home; three brothers, Paul Barnes Jr. of Canalou and twins Don Barnes and Ron Barnes of Sikeston; one half sister, Kay Seiler of Sikeston; her mother-in-law, Nadas Drew of Vanduser; and her grandmother-in-law, Maxine Hale of Vanduser.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jack Lewis, pastor of Big Ridge Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Paul Barnes III, Andrew Barnes, Greg Barnes, Nick Barnes, Chris Barnes and Aaron Barnes.
