Courtney Drew

CANALOU - Courtney Maxine Drew, 9, died Sept. 29, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born April 22, 1992, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of Jeff Drew of Canalou and the late Tressie Barnes Drew, also a victim in the accident. She was a fourth grade student at Richland Elementary School in Essex and attended Big Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to her father include: one sister, Bethany Drew of the home; her maternal grandmother, Bernice Barnes of Canalou; paternal grandmother, Nadas Drew of Vanduser; and her paternal great-grandmother, Maxine Hale of Vanduser.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jack Lewis, pastor of Big Ridge Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Donny Drew, Robert Tibbs, Bob Wallace, Darek Anthony, Zack Petty and Chuck King.
