Jacob Williamson

SIKESTON - Jacob Williamson, 96, formerly of Dexter, died Sept. 3, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 18, 1904, at Parma, son of the late Jacob Ledford and Onvill Mary Hatchel Williamson, he was a retired farmer and member of the United Pentecostal Church at Poplar Bluff.

His wife, Edna Grubbs Williamson, preceded him in death on March 20, 1984.

Survivors include: four sons, J.L. Williamson of Poplar Bluff, Dale Williamson of Denton, Texas, Ray Williamson of Bloomfield and Jerry Williamson of Millersville; two daughters, Genevieve Jackson of Bernie and Fredia Green of Sikeston; and 29 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

One son, Gene Williamson, also preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. David Hardin, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
