Dorothy Marks

EAST PRAIRIE - Dorothy Marie Marks, 73, died at 6 p.m. Oct. 19, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 6, 1928, at Walnut Ridge, Ark., daughter of the late William Edward and Fronie Aday Burney, she had lived most of her life in Mississippi County and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: two sons, William Marks and Kem Marks of Sikeston; three daughters, Stella Marcum, Judy Bramlett and Lisa Cogdill of East Prairie, two sisters, Gladys Terry and Louise Wallace of East Prairie; and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with Martin Lucas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
