Dorothy Reid

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Dorothy Dodd Reid, 90, died Oct. 16, 2001, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

Born April 27, 1911, in Arcadia, daughter of the late Hartford and Ruth Kanouse Collins, she was past president of the Sikeston Civic Club and member of the Methodist Women's Club in Sikeston.

On Feb. 14, 1944, at Blytheville, Ark., she married WC Reid who preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1977.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sarah E. Lynch of Cape Girardeau and Mary D. Reid of Richmond, Va.; and two grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, Sean and Kristin Lynch of St. Louis and Collin Lynch of Keystone, Colo.

No visitation is scheduled.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with the Rev. Anselm Williams officiating.

A reception will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of Sarah Lynch, 2769 Adeline St. in Cape Girardeau.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
