Nondes Busby

DEXTER - Nondes D. Busby, 85, died Oct. 25, 2001, at the Beverly Health Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

Born Dec. 16, 1915, at East Prairie, daughter of the late Walter Pitman and Ora Thomas, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and owner of Busby Realty.

On Oct. 23, 1934, at Piggott, Ark., she married Lowrie "L.T." Busby who preceded her in death on June 26, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Pitman and Walford Pitman; and by one sister, Erma Lain.

Survivors include: one son, Leon R. Busby of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Fred Leist officiating.
