Harold Shipman

DEXTER - Harold L. Shipman, 79, died Oct. 25, 2001, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Jan. 22, 1922, in Hornersville, son of the late Claud and Ada Bell Myers Shipman, he was a member of the Mulberry Missionary Baptist Church and Neighborhood Watch. He was a firefighter for the state conservation in Bollinger County.

Survivors include: two sons, Claud Shipman and Christopher Shipman of Dexter; three daughters, Carol Fouts of Columbia, Fren Shepherd of Essex and Connitta Beeghly of St. Charles; one sister, Fern McClure of Mesa, Ariz.; and 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico.
