Fred Leible
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Fred William Leible, 88, formerly of Kelso, died at 6:59 a.m. Sept. 18, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.
Born Feb. 22, 1913, in Kelso, son of the late William Theodore and Emma Bertha Goetz Leible, he was a transport truck driver and U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and member of Scott City VFW Post 6407.
On April 22, 1946, in Kelso, he married Edvira Josephine Hahn who survives of Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include: one brother, Raymond Leible of Sikeston; and four sisters, Cornetta Seyer and Virginia Hovis of Cape Girardeau, Helen Cox of Kelso and Dorothy St. Clair of Scott City.
One sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin, officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.
