SCOTT CITY - Norval Nicholas Robert, 71, died at 7:50 a.m. Sept. 21, 2001, in Greenville.

Born Dec. 11, 1929, at Kelso, son of Martha Catherine Westrich Robert of Benton and the late Nicholas Henry Robert, he was a boiler technician for St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau and member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

On Oct. 7, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, he married Elvie Lee Robison who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: one son, Thomas Robert of Scott City; one daughter, Marian Ellis of Scott City; one brother, Melvin Robert of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Martha Hamm of Benton; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery.
