MOREHOUSE - Ella Mae Nicholas, 98, died at 6 a.m. March 24, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born March 28, 1908, in Arkansas, to the late William and Mary Hilliard Nicholas, she was a homemaker and a member of the Morehouse Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Robbie Nicholas of McHenry, Ill.; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda "Dill" and Dr. N.L. Griswold of Morehouse and Sikeston; one special nephew, Ron Peek of Houston; 27 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special nieces, Phyllis Phillips, Sharon Buckley, Linda and Madison Dill and Judy Stewart.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Willard, Jack, Lee and Wallace Nicholas; and two sisters, Nellie Phillips and Pearl Lackey.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Vent, pastor of the Morehouse Pentecostal Church officiated.
Burial followed in Essex Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Keith Dill, Randy Dill, Neal Nicholas, Billy Nicholas, Nicholas Peek and Nathan Peek.
