Bud Huck

COMMERCE - Linus E. "Bud" Huck, 86, died at 10:34 a.m. Sept. 4, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 9, 1915, in Crystal City, son of the late George W. and Ilma Baumstark Huck, he was a riverboat captain for U.S. Steel. He was a member of H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 of Cape Girardeau, Capaha Scottish Rite Club of Southeast Missouri and St. Paul United Methodist Church in Commerce.

On Oct. 3, 1936, at Fairfield, Ill., he married Ann Alice Foster who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Linus F. "Bud" Huck of Jackson; two daughters, George Ann Huck, of Merida, Mexico, and Lois Lee Ramsey of Commerce; one sister, Georgia Becequette of Crystal City; and four grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where Masonic rites are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Lawman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
