Adriel Williams
ORAN - James Adriel Williams, 82, died at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 9, 2001, at his home.
Born July 27, 1919, in Parma, son of the late John G. and Katie Ann Biby Williams, he retired as a self-employed mechanic and bus driver for the Oran School District. A member of the First Baptist Church of Oran and Morley VFW Post 5368, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
On Nov. 11, 1940, he married Daisy V. Warner who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Bethel Lindy of Oran and Lucille Mezo of Marion, Ill.; two brothers, Edward G. Williams of Moline, Ill., and David S. Williams of Scott City; one sister, Peggy Clark of Oran; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ed Carter, officiating.
Graveside military rites will be conducted at the Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
Pallbearers will be: Ed McConnell, Earl Johns, Rick Dennis and Bob Limbaugh.
