Robert Schuchart

SIKESTON - Robert L. "Bob" Schuchart, 80, died at 3:10 p.m. Sept. 8, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 22, 1921, at Leslie, son of the late R.P. and Minnie Catherine Henneken Schuchart Sr., he was a retired farmer and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

On July 23, 1944, in Sikeston, he married Grace Kathryn Streeter who preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 1983.

Survivors include: two daughters, Constance L. Reimann of Sikeston and Bonnie Jean Walker of Germantown, Tenn.; two brothers, R.P. "Doc" Schuchart Jr. and Sylvester R. "Wes" Schuchart of Sikeston; four sisters, Martha Sachs, Ada Johnson and Stella Foster of Arlington, Va., and Alice Howard of Sun Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren, Amanda Fladung of East Prairie, Andy Barnes of Sikeston and Candy Ward of Troy; two great-grandchildren, Andy Ward and Grace Ward of Troy; nieces and nephews, including Tom Howard of Tucson, Ariz.; and a special friend, Joann Denton of Sikeston.

Two brothers also preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Schneider, pastor, and Monsignor William Stanton of Cape Girardeau will serve as concelebrants.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Emil Schuchart Jr., Daniel Schuchart, Tom Howard, Patrick Howard, Billy Streeter and Scott A. Riley.
