Anaise Green

NEW MADRID - Anaise Green, 80, died Oct. 14, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born March 12, 1921, in Greenwood, Miss., son of the late Hugh and Channie Mae Brown Green, he was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid.

His wife, Dorothy Ross Green, died April 5, 1998.

Survivors include: three daughters, Sammie Robinson and Channie Hoskins of New Madrid and Deloris Word of Columbia; four sons, Anaise Green Jr. of New Madrid, Willie Eddie Green and Joe Lewis Green of Okeechobee, Fla., and Fred Grant of Columbia; one sister, Minnie Johnson of Downers Grove, Ill.; and 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and five brothers also preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leotis Akins, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
