Laura Johnson
PARMA - Laura Johnson, 77, died Nov. 3, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 12, 1923, at Parma, daughter of the late William and Roxie Ward Cravens, she was a program specialist for Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation and had lived in Parma for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Parma First Baptist Church and of the Eastern Star Carnation Chapter 141.
On July 26, 1947, she married Vernon Johnson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, George E. Davis of Linden, Mich.; two sisters, Grace Shaw and Syvlia Gregg of Parma; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Gilbert Cravens, Floyd Cravens, Riley Cravens, Dale Cravens and Franklin Cravens; and four sisters, Alta Ramsey, Margaret Ordiway, Mabel Cravens and Imajean Tipton.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Tom McCanless of Kewanee officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
