Cook - Snell

SIKESTON -- Julie Harbin-Cook and Jason Snell have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Sam Harbin of Sikeston. She earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and a Master of Science in education from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar. She works for Egyptian Schools in Tamms, Ill.

Her fiance is the son of Jane Batey of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated with a degree in business from Loyalist College of Belleville, Ontario. He is employed by Kelly Services in Belleville.

Plans are under way for an Aug. 7 wedding at the First Christian Church in Sikeston.
