SIKESTON - Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Terrell are invited to a golden wedding anniversary celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Imogene Albritton Center, 506 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston.
Terrell and the former Hope Edwards were married Sept. 4, 1951, in Sikeston. The event is hosted by their children, Jamie and Chris Terrell and Terri Terrell-Hays of Sikeston and Lisa and Tom Hill of Greenwood. They have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Terrell, son of the late Willard and Gladys Colley Terrell, was serving in the military in Chicago, Ill., when the couple married and she worked in the personnel department of Conrad Hilton Hotel. In 1953, they returned to Sikeston where he was employed by the Sikeston Department of Public Safety from 1971-91 and served as captain of the fire division.
Mrs. Terrell, is a realtor associated with McMikle Real Estate Incorporated in Sikeston. She is the daughter of the late William C. and Martha Bennett Edwards.
