CHAFFEE - Landon Eric Grissom, 42, died at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 8, 2004, at his home.
Born Dec. 23, 1961, in Chaffee, son of the late Robert Bentley and Charles and Mable DeHart Grissom, he was a sergeant with the U.S. Army and member of the First Baptist Church and VFW Post 3127 in Chaffee.
Survivors include: one son, Dustin Grissom of Chaffee; one daughter, Marsha Grissom of Chaffee; two stepsons, Joseph Wood of Cape Girardeau and Christopher Wood of Fort Sill, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Chanda Wood of Chaffee; one brother, Randon Grissom of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Kay Boddy of Coweta, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today until service time at 7 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate.
Full military honors will be conducted at graveside services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
