Winston Ezell

CORNING, Ark. - Winston Ezell, 71, died at 1:13 p.m. Aug. 22, 2001 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

Born Aug. 4, 1930, in Athens, Ala., son of the late Lemuel Horace and Jessie Elizabeth Owen Ezell, he was a retired self-employed construction worker and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He owned and operated Ezell Pipe and Ditching and worked with land owners and operators in New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard counties in Missouri.

On Nov. 14, 1954, he married Frances Ezell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim Ezell of Corning and Wayne and Kolynn Ezell of Cabot; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Randy Anders of Corning; one brother, James Ezell of Jonesboro; two sisters, Sarah Springer of Nolensville, Tenn., and Martha Neal of Germantown, Tenn.; and 12 grandchildren.

One son, Larry Ray Ezell, preceded him in death on May 22, 1999.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday with Mark Springer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Corning Cemetery.
