Down with Doonesbury. It's gotta go.

People, I know this is going to surprise you, but these old smart boys are saying that this is going to be a mild winter. But you better get out and look around. My autumn olives have more berries on them than I've ever seen before. My pecans are already 75 percent opened up and a lot of pecans are already falling. There are a lot of reasons out there to look around and see that there's going to be a bad winter. I don't think the smart people know what they're talking about when they say it's going to be a mild winter.

Take all women over the age of 45 in the city of Sikeston, take away their estrogen replacement pills and patches, send them over for 14 days. Poof! The Taliban and all other terrorist groups are history!

When you read this, turn off your TV or radio, anything that's making any kind of noise. Take one minute in silence and pray for the victims, for those who are looking for the ones who are still missing under all the wreckage. Pray for the families, pray for our nation and for our President.

It breaks my heart that some people invaded our wonderful country. All the wars before were fought to keep tyranny from our shores. Ask any older serviceman and they will tell you why they went off to war, left their family and country to fight on foreign soil, carrying Old Glory with them. Can we do any less? Roll up your sleeves, grit your teeth and pray for our service men and women that they might let our light shine through the whole world.

I just want to let everyone know what good people we have in the world. I called a phone number this morning (of course, I had the wrong number). But the little child who answered said, "Praise the Lord and good morning." That made my day. I said, "Who are you and what's your name?" She told me and said, "I go to the House of Prayer Church at Grant City." She said if I didn't have a church to worship in, that I could go to her church. People like that give you something to think about. I don't know who I was talking to but I thank God for her.

If I were a New Yorker, I sure would be disappointed in Hillary. I think I'd ask her to resign. After she sat there and rolled her eyes and kept talking during the President's meeting, talking the people and the sad situation we are in, I think I would resign if I were her. I think the President is trying to do what's right. I know it's going to be hard for everybody, but they should stop and think. We've got to do something. I think Hillary and Bill should get behind the President instead of just sitting up there and rolling her eyes.

I'm calling about "Showing patriotism." Did it have to take an attack on Sept. 11 for you to show patriotism for your country? You're crying about the stores being out of flags, why did such a devastating event have to take place for you to purchase a flag to begin with? Why didn't you already have a flag showing patriotism if you're such a proud lover of your country? I have never seen the media talk about God bless America so much, and that prayers are starting back in schools. They should have never ended. There should have been prayer in school to begin with. Did it have to take such an event as this for the American people to wake up?
